SOUTHERN PINES, North Carolina (DOD) – In what can only be described as sweet vindication, Mike, “Big Boy, Jr.,” King overcame a five point deficit today to claim the Terrapin Travelin’ Trophy in the 2009 Southern Pines Invitational. With his failure to win the Turtle in 2004 detailed in excruciating verse on the pages of this publication, King’s win today is doubly sweet. With that, we are finally rolling out the Official Golf Trip Website after six years in the making. The tipping point was the application we sent to Matt Ginella at Golf Digest to ambush The Golf Trip. In so doing, we realized at last that The Golf Trip should be shared with a wider audience. Although the Golf Trip was not selected among the Ambush Final Four this month, there's always next year. In the meantime, The Turtle is on the web.
