The field is again set at sixteen players for another run at the Turtle.

Defending Turtle Champion Mark "Cueball" Kimmet will once again team up with Randy "Cool Breeze" Gibson. Cueball shocked the world with his Turtle win last year, and will go for the unprecedented repeat this year. After flirting with the early lead last year, Gibson hopes to hang tough for all four rounds in this year's event.

Michael "The Hoser" Moser returns for his fifth run at Turtle glory. After missing last year's event due to a pinched nerve, Moser appears ready to challenge. The Hoser's partner, Greg "The Loguemeister" Logue, has also been playing well in nine-hole increments. Time will tell if he can translate those to 18-hole rounds.

Also returning is Greg "Stone Cold" Goddard, former Turtle Slam champion. Unable to participate last year due to rotator cuff surgery, rumors are swirling about Goddard's fine play in rehab. Goddard is always a threat to capture both the Templeton Cup and the Turtle. Goddard will once again team up with Toby "Hoss Cartwright" Hyke. Hyke hopes to improve his fine second place finish last year even though he "hasn't played since November."

Danny "Depot Stove" Pressley could only defend the Templeton Cup last year, falling to fourth in the Turtle hunt. Despite the fade, the Stove remains a favorite celebrity spokesman for stove manufacturers. Depot will once again partner with Dennis McClane, whose resemblance to Wilford Brimley increases with each passing year. McClane hopes to finally overcome his final-day aversion to Mid Pines to claim the Turtle.

Representing the new generation of Turtle hunters, Nathan "The Assassin" Nash heads into his third event, hoping to finally record an RVF score. Nash will once again team up with Michael "The Chairman" Wood. Second only to Logue in tournament appearances, Wood is eager to end his personal drought of Turtle wins.

Richard "The Envy" Matlock will be seeking his third Turtle championship. Matlock's steady style and consistent play always make him a contender, especially if temperatures are warm. Matlock's partner, the newly svelte, Mike "Formerly Big Boy, Jr." King could challenge for his second Turtle if he can adapt to his new, shorter, swing plane.

Tracy "Tiger" Thompson will make his fourth appearance, hoping to improve on his tenth place finish last year. A player nicknamed "Tiger" is always dangerous. Thompson will once again team with the enigmatic Jon "Hairball" Lawler, a player who clearly possesses the skill to claim the Turtle.

Rounding out the field, Norm "The Total Package" Templeton will be seeking his first win of either the Turtle or the Templeton Cup. It is no secret that The Package burns to hold the Cup that bears his name. Templeton's partner, Dan "The Man" Moore hopes to play well enough to be invited back next year.
